This time of year is usually packed with festive events around halls and lodges, from carol services to dinners and fundraisers. The guest of honour and keynote speaker at many of these is Imperial Grand Master James Anderson. This year with the renewed lockdown we have taken many of the events and activities online and the IGM’s Christmas address will be online to.

In a message that is real and relevant the Grand Master uses the words of The Queen describing 2020 as our ‘annus horriibilis’. However he points to the service of the Institution and the Armed Forces as examples of the good that has come out of this year. Pointing to a New Year and new hopes of a vaccine and a return to normality he provides much needed cheer at this time of year.
