The parade was smaller and shorter than usual this twelfth but the same spirit and pride was on show as the men of Ballinagravey paraded what would normally be just their feeder parade route or morning walk before the main Twelfth Parade. The scaled back parade saw just lodge officers and younger members with older members following the parade by car. The socially distanced event allowed over a century of tradition to be continued and many in the local rural community welcomed the event.

The lodge was led by Past Imperial Grand Master Cllr Alan McLean and it was very much a family affair as father and son were both out for the day.

The sound of the lambeg drum rang out across the countryside signalling that the Independent Twelfth had not been cancelled after all!
