The Banntastic Festival officially launches this July with a vibrant community celebration. This exciting festival celebrates  Orange culture and heritage, and the proud traditions of the Twelfth through a full programme of family-friendly events, live performances, parades, and remembrance services.

The launch evening will bring together community organisations, local lodges, church leaders, and supporters to officially open the festival and introduce the week ahead. There’ll be music from traditional performers, previews of key events, and stalls showcasing the festival’s heritage and faith focus.

Festival organisers are keen to welcome people from all backgrounds who are interested in learning more about the culture, faith and history behind the Twelfth.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of something Bann-tastic from the very beginning!

Festival organisers speaking at the event said

We are pleased to welcome not just the Independent Loyal Orange Institution to Portglenone for their annual Twelfth celebration but also the entire community. The Banntastic Twelfth Festival has an exciting entraining and educational for all the family to enjoy. Orangeism has been a part of our community since 1798 and we are privileged to be custodians of an authentic Williamite Battlefield. Our Twelfth field once saw some of the fiercest fighting in the Battle of Portglenone 1689 and we wish to commemorate our forefathers and the stand and sacrifice they made.
