As we gather in our halls, homes and hearts to celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Independent Loyal Orange Institution is delighted to share a timely and uplifting Easter message from our Imperial Grand Master, Brother Phil Moffatt.
In this special video address, Brother Moffatt speaks directly to the brethren, their families and all who hold fast to the Protestant faith. The Imperial Grand Master reflects on the central hope of our Christian belief – the empty tomb and the victory won on the first Easter morning.
In his message, Brother Moffatt reminds us that Easter is far more than a seasonal observance. It is the very foundation of our faith: the assurance that death has been defeated, sin has been atoned for, and eternal life is offered freely to all who put their trust in the risen Christ. Amid the challenges and uncertainties of our times, he points us back to the unchanging promises of the Gospel – hope that does not disappoint, peace that passes understanding, and a living Saviour who walks beside us.
The Independent Loyal Orange Institution has always stood upon the solid rock of Scripture. Brother Moffatt’s words echo the great Protestant truth that “Christ is risen indeed” – a truth that sustained our forefathers through trials and continues to sustain us today.
In a world that often feels dark and troubled, the Easter message brings light and life. It calls us to live as resurrection people: loyal to our God, loyal to our King and country, loyal to one another, and steadfast in the Gospel that has been entrusted to us.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
