Eye to I Heritage Tour

23/09/2023 @ 8:30 am - 6:30 pm

As part of our 120th Anniversary Celebrations we have developed an Independent Orange Heritage Tour of Belfast

One of the themes of our Anniversary Year is “Why the I” a programme to help our members and the wider community understand the history and legacy of the Order.

As we attract new members and encourage and engage existing ones we need to know our history and the reasons why the Independent Institution was formed. We also need to know what makes us distinct and how we differ from other Loyal Orders. The heritage tour will visit some of the iconic sites associated with the early Independent Order and rediscover the founding fathers and what motivated them. It will also discover the lasting legacy of the ILOI in Belfast and hopefully stimulate interest that will see its revival in the city.

Discover something new and develop a sense of pride in who we are!
