Independent Loyal Orange Institution’s Grand Master’s Charity Appeal Supports Vital Community Work

The Independent Loyal Orange Institution (ILOI) is proud to announce the success of its annual Grand Master’s Charity Appeal, which continues to make a significant impact on local communities through vital fundraising efforts.

In 2023, the Institution’s fundraising campaign supported the Community Rescue Service (CRS), a volunteer-led organisation that provides a vital lifeline in search and rescue operations, particularly along the River Bann. The CRS plays a crucial role in protecting and assisting individuals and families in times of crisis, and the funds raised through the Grand Master’s Appeal have directly contributed to its ability to continue this lifesaving work.

Imperial Grand Master James Anderson commented:
“The Independent Loyal Orange Institution has always recognised the importance of giving back to the communities we serve. The work of the Community Rescue Service is truly remarkable, providing invaluable assistance and reassurance to families during some of their most difficult moments. Through our Appeal, we are proud to have played a role in ensuring that their essential operations continue, ultimately making our communities safer for everyone.”

The Independent Loyal Orange Institution views this charitable effort as a core part of its wider commitment to community service and social responsibility. While the Institution is deeply rooted in faith and heritage, it also sees its mission as one of practical support, compassion, and action—helping those in need and strengthening local communities through meaningful initiatives.

The Grand Master’s Charity Appeal is an annual tradition, raising funds for organisations that provide vital services across Northern Ireland. Each year, the Appeal selects a charity that aligns with the Institution’s values of service and support, ensuring that funds go directly to causes that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

As the Institution looks ahead to its 2024 campaign, it remains committed to upholding its proud tradition of charitable giving and community support.
