MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD TO ENSURE THE UNION FLAG FLIES IN CAUSEWAY COAST & GLENS.
Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council are currently undertaking a consultation with reference to flying the Union flag on Civic buildings.
The link for the consultation is
Current flag flying throughout the borough:
Limavady/Ballycastle – 0 days
Ballymoney – 15 designated days
Coleraine – 365 days
If you live within any of these areas, it is the time to show that you want the Union Flag to be flown 365 days across the whole council area. Five minutes will complete the survey.
The Union flag is the national flag of the United Kingdom and marks the constitutional position of Northern Ireland as part of the kingdom. Lets make sure it is flown with pride from all our civic buildings.
As an Institution we will be making an official response but like so many of these public consultation based exercises it is volume of responses and quantity nit quality which makes an impact. We are sure each members and each lodge has its opinion and we urge you to make it heard. if you would like to join us as we prepare the official response just contact any member of the Imperial Grand Lodge.
As Republicans and their fellow travellers seeks to strip this land of every last vestige of our British identity let us unite to stop this slow surrender and to fight to keep the flag flying. In the run up to elections this year we trust that all Unionist Parties will work together to defend our flag.
