The Mosside men and ladies brought the Twelfth to the village. People were able to enjoy the parade from their houses and front gardens. The brethren, banner and band were all out on parade in a welcome lift for the village. Like all lodges this has been a challenging years and when they had hoped to make full use of the newly refurbished hall the restrictions have not allowed this. However once the decision was made that a parade was now possible they worked hard to get it organised.

The parade allowed families to watch and with many from the same family able to attend with a great time had by young and old.

After the parade the hall was open for some music and socially distanced fun for the family. It is great to see the extended hall being finally open for use and able to accommodate events in line with Government Guidelines. The banner proclaims ‘In Glorious Memory’ and that memory was kept alive at Mosside despite the restrictions. For those shielding or celebrating at home having the Twelfth brought to their door was greatly appreciated and many thanked the lodge and band for a job well done and the community of Mosside were indeed to see the Independents on the march this year.
