King William
Remember November
November has a number of national days of Commemoration and Remembrance, and as we move beyond these most recognisable days the ILOI have set aside November as a full month to Remember. It will provide an annual festival of Remembrance from joyous occasions such as the birthday of King William Prince of Orange to the more somber occasions of Armistice Day where we join with the nation in silence to remember the fallen in war.
This year we add to this calendar of commemoration our own thoughts and reflections on those who have died as a result of the Corona Pandemic, and those in the forefront of the battle against this silent enemy.
There are many events in our own history which we would do well to remember such as the 1641 Rebellion and Massacres which our Institution has done much to mark over the decades.
